Nowadays, we have a modern and dynamic school, involved in ambitious projects, although inserted in a rural area where students have limited training offer. We have around 600 students, studying different areas, attending the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. Most of these students proceed their studies to college. We also have professional courses with great employability. In fact, this is the only secondary school in the area, and so, we look forward to answering all the needs in the local community and have a strong relation with the local companies and institutions. In order to provide for all the necessary structure, we have 65 teachers and 25 auxiliary and administrative personal. Although we are a dynamic young school with a strong commitment to formal education, it is also very important to us that our students develop their soft skills. When one does not have a past it is difficult to have a future and be best way to understand the societies structure it is to understand the family structure. Therefore, we believe that it is fundamental that our students get in contact with the elder ones. The ageing of the society is one Europe’s main human problems, so it is urgent that we develop strategies to deal with it and to involve the younger generations.
